About 7 years ago I embarked on one of the hardest journeys I would ever take.  I''m talking about motherhood. I remember the dreams I had about being a mom and daydreamed with a little one in my belly.  Oh the things I wanted to teach my children and the many ways I would shower them with love! Not once did I think about mountains of laundry, dishes, temper tantrums or the emotional toll it would take.  Don't get me wrong, the hugs and little smiles are worth it.  But, that doesn't mean that it doesn't challenge everything you thought you knew about yourself and how to be a good parent.  I sometimes wonder how in the world I will ever keep up and keep my sanity in place?  You give so much of yourself that you have to fill back up at some point.  Or the wild, worn out crazy momma rears her ugly head. Well my fellow momma goddesses, this is how I do it.

Since I was a little girl, I LOVED strawberries.  They have to be my absolute favorite fruit.  In fact as I sit here on the lawn, writing to you, I am eating strawberries straight out of the container. No need to cut them up and place in a pretty bowl, sprinkled with sugar, I want unadulterated strawberries.  If it weren't for the fact that they aren't organic, I' wouldn't have even bothered to wash them.

The cool thing about being an Herbalist is now I get to learn so much more about my food.  For instance did you know the native Americans used to consume the leaves for the stomach flu?  Some herbalists even like to add them to tea for women as a health tonic, since they are similar in action to Red Raspberry Leaves.  Yup, even the green part of these sweet little morsels are good for you.

As if that wasn't good enough, strawberries can also be pulverized, leaves and all to make a glorious face mask for blemishes.
